Southern Sun Timeshare has signed a management contract with the renowned Bantry Bay International Vacation Resort, bringing it into the our timeshare resorts portfolio, effective from 1 January 2020.
Bantry Bay Resort has spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean in the heart of Cape Town’s prime beach area, with two magnificent penthouses and 33 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Bantry Bay International Vacation Resort owners will now gain added value through the range of benefits provided by Southern Sun Timeshare, including automatic membership of SunSwop, a premier holiday exchange service for Southern Sun Resort members, allowing them to exchange back into Tsogo Sun’s resorts, and through an affiliation agreement with RCI, access to 4 300 resorts around the world.
In addition, Bantry Bay timeshare owners are automatic members of SunSwop Choices, which offers access to a wider range of destinations and accommodation options through Tsogo Sun Hotels properties around South Africa, Africa, the Seychelles, and Middle East.
Southern Sun currently has 44 000 timeshare weeks across six timeshare properties: Beacon Island Resort in Plettenberg Bay; Cabana Beach and uMhlanga Sands Resorts in uMhlanga, with direct access onto the uMhlanga main beach; Drakensberg Sun Resort in the picturesque Cathkin Park area, Sabi River Sun, a 200-acre golf resort just 10km from the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga; and Pine Lake Resort on the banks of Lake Longmere in White River in Mpumalanga.
