So what does that mean for you?
If you are Iranian, this may mean it is time for the annual “khoonehtekounis”, which according to Wikipedia, can be literally translated as “Shaking the House” or spring cleaning. This is a custom that many of us practice, particularly those from colder climates, where it is considered the opportunity to freshen up after a chilly winter in preparation for a warm, bright summer.
Then there is the personal spring clean! Spring, being the onset of summer, means that all the excuses of cold, dark mornings, not allowing for a healthy exercise way to start the day, are nearly over. This time of year is not dissimilar to New Year’s, where we set a number of goals, normally associated to diet and exercise routines to help us get into shape before the summer is here and we venture out in our swimming costumes!
Exercise doesn’t have to be an unpleasant experience; in fact it can be a lot of fun.
