The final performance of Sound of Music took to the Teatro at Montecasino’s stage on Sunday, 8 June. This performance also marked a special milestone in the Teatro’s history as we welcomed our three millionth visitor since opening in 2007.
Glynis van Wyk seated in seat number 15 was accompanied by her father, Allan Downey to the closing performance of the production before the show embarks on its international tour.
The Sound of Music enjoyed tremendous success and support over its 10 week run at the Teatro with full houses and standing ovations at every show.
In commemoration of this milestone event, Glynis was invited backstage after the curtain call, where she met the lead actor, Andre Schwartz and lead actress, Bethany Dickson. A delighted and very surprised Glynis also received a Montecasino gift voucher, a one night stay at The Palazzo at Montecasino and tickets to view a thrilling performance of Cirque ID, which is set to open at the Teatro at Montecasino on Tuesday, 19 August.
